Community Festival

June 26-28, 2026

Tips & Info

When is it?

The Community Festival always takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the last full weekend in June.

Where is ComFest? How do I get there? Where do I park?

The festival is held in Goodale Park, near downtown Columbus, Ohio.

Because of the traffic caused by our event, and to help the environment, we highly recommend riding a bicycle and using our bicycle valet, or riding the COTA bus (bus routes 1, 2, 5, 8, and 102 stop a block from the festival; many more stop within a 10 minute walk).
Scooters can be parked near our entrance on Goodale Street, between Park Street and High Street.
PLEASE DO NOT RIDE BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, OR SKATE THROUGH THE PARK AT COMFEST.

If you must drive, you should park in the Arena District or a nearby public garage, as most street parking in the neighborhood requires a residential parking permit; cars parked illegally in the neighborhood will be towed. If you do street park, please plan to use the ParkColumbus app or parking kiosks and QR codes around the area.

How much does it cost to get into ComFest?

The Community Festival is free to attend! There are no tickets or cover charges.

Really? Free?

Yes! We do hope while you're here you support the festival by purchasing from our bars, vendors, and giving a shift by volunteering.

How do I volunteer?

Fill out your volunteer application, where you can pick jobs and shifts that suit your unique talents. Applications are usually available by the beginning of April.
Learn more about the different types of volunteer shifts here.

What's the minimum age to attend?

ComFest is open to all ages, however for their own safety, we ask that children be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents can get a wristband at KiDSART or Safety Base Station and write a parents cell number on it so we can quickly reunite lost kids with parents.

Who is performing? What is there to do at ComFest?

Workshops, speakers, dancers, music, arts & crafts, food and vendors—there is so much to do at ComFest. Our performance schedule will be available on our website. Even more event information is available in our annual Program Guide.

What should I bring?

  • Sun and heat protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and water).
  • A blanket to sit on.
  • Money for local food, drinks, and souvenirs - we do have ATMs on site.
  • Good vibes.

What shouldn't I bring?

  • Your own alcohol! Carry-in alcohol is illegal in city parks. Police officers will be present at the event to enforce all laws. ComFest will have multiple Beer booths on Park Street and Goodale Street. Avoid a ticket (or worse) by buying your alcoholic beverages at the festival. Please cooperate with our NO BYOB volunteers and remove all alcohol from the premises when asked. For more information, please visit our No BYOB page.
  • Coolers. We are asking that you please leave your coolers at home. We also ask that you do not leave backpacks unattended. Stay with your stuff and tag those bags with your name and cell number. If you bring something into the park, please take it back home with you. Otherwise, make sure to clean up after yourself, and use one of the recycling areas located throughout the event.
  • Glass. Many visitors dance barefoot in the park during ComFest. Don't put anyone in danger of injury.
  • Weapons. Give peace a chance.
  • Fire. This includes grills, fireworks, torches, and sparklers.
  • Pets. A large event like this is potentially hazardous to your animal, you, and other festival-goers. Noise, heat, crowds, bites, food dangers, and getting lost are all risks of bringing your pet, so please leave them home.

Happy ComFest!

Welcome to Community Festival 2026! For 54 years, ComFest has been the progressive heartbeat of Columbus and central Ohio.

ComFest is a free event, powered by Community and sustained without corporate sponsors. Featuring the very best local music, progressive political activism and community organizing, local artisans and craftspeople and your favorite summer foods, ComFest brings the community together.

ComFest has nurtured the Columbus arts and entertainment scene, nourished small businesses, energized generations of community activists, and positioned progressive ideals front and center in our growing city.

The costs to put on this extraordinary event increase every year. Whether its permits, safety and security, trash and recycling supplies, stages and sound equipment, libations or any number of expenses, the costs of putting on this free and all volunteer weekend continue to outrun the revenues.

We’d like to take a moment to ask you to consider supporting ComFest financially. Now more than ever, this unique and vital event must be here for the next generation of ComFesters and your support can ensure the legacy begun 54 years ago lives on.

Thank you for being here: For volunteering, for supporting local music, for purchasing ComFest beverages, for shopping at Street Fair, and for signing up to protect the principles and values we all stand and fight for.

Have a great ComFest.
