On Tuesday, November 7, vote YES on Issues 1 and 2!
On November 7, Ohioans will be voting on two important issues. Community Festival strongly supports both issues and urges members of the ComFest Community to make their voice heard and VOTE on November 7.
A “YES” vote on Issue 1 will establish a state constitutional right to “make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions,” including decisions about abortion, contraception, fertility treatment, miscarriage care, and continuing pregnancy.
Issue 1 would allow the state to restrict abortion after fetal viability, except when “necessary to protect the pregnant patient’s life or health.”
A “YES” vote on Issue 2 will legalize and regulate recreational marijuana for adults age 21 and older, including cultivation, processing, sale, purchase, possession, and home growth. Adults would be able to possess up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana and up to 15 grams of marijuana concentrates.
Under Issue 2, marijuana sales would be taxed at 10%. The revenue generated from this tax would be directed toward establishing a cannabis social equity and jobs program. The program would be designed to provide financial support and assistance for license applications to individuals who have been disproportionately affected by past marijuana-related law enforcement.
Make your voice heard this November 7!
