Community Festival

June 26-28, 2026

Media Inquiries

Thank you for your interest in Community Festival. Unfortunately, it is not possible to accommodate media requests for interviews with an official spokesperson once this volunteer-run event moves into its operational stage.

Please note that:

  1. Outside the context of previously arranged interviews with designated spokespersons, any current or former organizers who claim to speak for Community Festival are not authorized to do so.
  2. No live news broadcasts from the site are permitted.

We welcome requests anytime from July to May for a discussion of our history, year-round work in the community, and next year’s festival. In the meantime, there is an abundance of written material available on our website explaining every aspect of Community Festival’s purpose, history, organizational structure and impact on the community. Our Program Guides are available in print form at local libraries.

We strongly encourage reading our web site and Program Guide to learn what festival organizers have to say, in their own words, about the work that has made ComFest not only the most consistent winner of many “Best Festival in Columbus” awards, but also a beloved and respected institution contributing so much good to our city.

Happy ComFest!

Welcome to Community Festival 2026! For 54 years, ComFest has been the progressive heartbeat of Columbus and central Ohio.

ComFest is a free event, powered by Community and sustained without corporate sponsors. Featuring the very best local music, progressive political activism and community organizing, local artisans and craftspeople and your favorite summer foods, ComFest brings the community together.

ComFest has nurtured the Columbus arts and entertainment scene, nourished small businesses, energized generations of community activists, and positioned progressive ideals front and center in our growing city.

The costs to put on this extraordinary event increase every year. Whether its permits, safety and security, trash and recycling supplies, stages and sound equipment, libations or any number of expenses, the costs of putting on this free and all volunteer weekend continue to outrun the revenues.

We’d like to take a moment to ask you to consider supporting ComFest financially. Now more than ever, this unique and vital event must be here for the next generation of ComFesters and your support can ensure the legacy begun 54 years ago lives on.

Thank you for being here: For volunteering, for supporting local music, for purchasing ComFest beverages, for shopping at Street Fair, and for signing up to protect the principles and values we all stand and fight for.

Please click here to keep the “Party with a Purpose” going strong.
Have a great ComFest.
