2010 Logo/Theme Contest

Design the Comfest Tee-Shirt! Entries must be brought to the shelter house in Goodale Park on Wed. March 3 at 7:30 PM, and meet the following requirements:
  1. It should be a black and white drawing. We do a one color silk-screen in order to be economical. Due to the mechanical limitations and expense of the silk-screening process, it is difficult and expensive to do grey tones or shading. If your design has some shading, it would have to be done in a way that will lend itself to be easily silk-screened.

  2. Include the dates: June 25, 26, 27, 2010 or June 25-27, 2010.

  3. Include the name, Community Festival. Those two words must appear together in the design. In addition, you can place the word "ComFest" in the design if you wish.

  4. Include the place, Goodale Park.

  5. Include the Hopewell symbol, shown below:

  6. The design should incorporate a slogan or theme, one that reflects the principals and purposes of the Community Festival. The Community Festival Statement of Principals can be viewed here.  ComFest is more than a great party. It is an event that makes a statement about how we feel people should conduct themselves all year long; with love, compassion and tolerance for their fellow human beings and a desire to do something to better the world for everyone environmentally, politically and socially. If you can incorporate a theme into your logo design that reflects the spirit behind Comfest, it should help you win over the voters who choose the winning entry.

Another good tip is to make the design with a vertical orientation so that it looks good on a tee-shirt. The logo will appear in other places but the most important place is on the tee-shirt.

Having your design chosen is a great honor which will make you part of the history of Comfest. Hundreds of volunteers (including the winner) will be wearing the tee-shirt at the Festival and will wear them around for years to come. The winner gets mentioned on the website, in the program and we give the winner a few valuable goodies too.
